STERNWEIT collects no data. None. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no servers. The game never sends anything anywhere.
What stays on your device
Your journey — crops, ship upgrades, sparks, letters collected, difficulty and music settings — is saved locally on your iPhone using Apple's standard app storage. It is visible only to the app. Deleting the app deletes it permanently. We cannot see it, retrieve it, or restore it.
Notifications
If you allow it, the game sends you local notifications — created and delivered entirely on your own device — to tell you your crops have finished growing. Permission is requested the first time you plant a seed, and you can decline or revoke it at any time in Settings → Notifications. No notification content leaves your phone.
No network use
The game plays completely offline and makes no network requests. There is no third-party SDK of any kind embedded in it.
Children
STERNWEIT is safe for children: because nothing is collected, transmitted, or shared, there is no personal information of a child (or anyone else) for us to handle. There is no chat, no user-generated content, no external links out of the game, and nothing to purchase.
Apple's own reporting
If you download the game from the App Store, Apple may give the developer anonymous, aggregated statistics — for example how many people downloaded it in a country, or crash reports if you have opted in to sharing them with developers. That data comes from Apple, is not linked to you, and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date. Since the game collects nothing, we do not expect that to change.
